3-Axis vs 4-Axis vs 5-Axis 3D Printers

A 3-axis printer moves the print head along the x, y, and z axes, while a 4-axis printer also moves the print bed along the x-axis. A 5-axis printer has an additional two rotational axes. Generally, a 5-axis printer can produce more complex and detailed parts with better precision and accuracy than a 3-axis or 4-axis printer, but they also tend to be more costive and complex.
